  • Needle-Punched PET Felt: High-density polyester fibers (often derived from recycled materials) are mechanically needle-punched to create a dense, porous matrix. This web of micro-fibers acts as a trap for sound waves.

  • Micro-Vented Vinyl Cores: Heavy-duty Type II contract vinyl is bonded to an underlying non-woven cushion layer, engineered to absorb mid-range sound frequencies.


This engineered base layer provides the bulk of the material's Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) rating, allowing it to reduce ambient sound bounce by up to 85% compared to bare drywall.


Step 2: Layering Tactile Surface Textures

Step 5: Precision Trimming & Jobsite Installation

Because acoustic wallcoverings are thicker than standard wallers (often ranging from 3mm to 5mm in thickness, the final manufacturing step involves precision edge trimming:


  • Straight-Cut Factory Edges: Clean, machine-cut edges ensure seamless butt-joints during installation.

  • Installation Preparation: Installers use heavy-duty, high-tack clear adhesives (such as ROMAN PRO-880) over Level 4 or 5 primed drywall to guarantee a permanent, flawless bond.
